Ubuntu Linux (Tested on 14.04 LTS)

  1. Get the SD Card image here (it’s a 900MB download)

  2. Plug in the microSD card to your computer using a Card Reader. It is recommended to use a Class 10 or higher speed grade card for best performance.

  3. Click on the start button and type “Disks”, select the Disks app and hit enter. Select your SD Card from the left, click on the menu and select “Restore Disk Image” beaglelogic-select-image2

  4. Then browse to the img.xz file downloaded. No extraction is needed here, it is decompressed before writing to the SD Card automatically. beaglelogic-select-image

  5. Click on “Start Restoring” and enter your user account password when prompted for root privileges. It should take about 10 minutes or so to write it on SD card.

  6. Insert your microSD card into the BeagleBone Black. Power it on by connecting to the USB port.

  7. After a minute of boot-up, BeagleLogic is ready to use. Log on to http://192.168.7.2:4000/ to get started!
